Join Gerry for a celebration of both traditional and contemporary Irish ballads and music, American folk songs and a touch of Irish humor.
Gerry Timlin was born in Coalisland County Tyrone, Northern Ireland where, at a young age, he developed an interest in traditional Irish music.
Over the years, Gerry’s love of music expanded to include Scottish, American, Canadian, as well as Australian folk music. He moved to the USA in the early seventies where he has been entertaining audiences with his rich baritone
vocals, guitar stylings, and his sense of humor ever since.
Gerry has appeared at the Peter Norton Symphony Space, 95 th and Broadway, with Mick Moloney and Green Fields 0f America, Vince Giordano and the Nighthawks, Julie Feeney, John Roberts, The Dana Linn Quartet, and The Washington Square Shamrock Orchestra in a tribute concert to honor the first family of Irish music, The famous McNulty Family. He was the guest performer for the Congressional Friends of Ireland Luncheon at the Capitol Building in Washington, D.C. where guests included President Barack Obama, Vice President Joe Biden, Speaker of the House John Boehner, and Irish Prime Minister (Taoiseach) Enda Kenny.
For more than five decades, Gerry has been performing in Ireland, the British Isles, the United States, and Canada.
